This is an exciting "small block" nitro engine worth selling! The new "small/medium block" Ofna Picco MAX .21 engine offers the best of both worlds... BIG BLOCK POWER that bolts into the space of a typical .12/.15 small block! Because of the popularity of the T-MAXX, Picco has released this version especially for T-MAXX trucks. Big block conversion kits for the Maxx are now a thing of the past! This engine is specifically designed to drop into a T-MAXX 2.5 chassis - no conversion kits needed!! How does a 2.38HP drop in T-MAXX engine sound?!?!? FAST!

World famous Picco of Italy manufacturers the Max21 T-Maxx engine for Ofna. The Ofna Picco Max21 is manufactured by Picco on an OEM basis (Ofna just puts their name on it), and the Ofna Max21 is based on the exciting Picco P2 engine design!

PLEASE NOTE: Picco rates the P2 Monster .21 T-Maxx engine at 2.1HP, so we are not sure where Ofna got the 2.38HP rating since the Max21 is based on the same P2 engine design. We just wanted to make that known to people. Either way... whether it be 2.1HP or 2.38HP, this is a crazy powerful engine for a T-Maxx!

This engine is designed to bolt right into a 2.5 T-Maxx truck! This Ofna 51221 Picco .21 Maxx engine comes with a pull start, and the stock TMAXX 2.5 clutch, 2.5 EZ Start (if you want to use it), and 2.5 exhaust bolts right on! This engine comes with a high performance slide carb. A special T-Maxx engine mount is also included. Bolting this in to a 1st generation Pro .15 T-Maxx truck would require more work and more parts to buy. All T-Maxxs may need some additional upgrades to handle the BIG POWER of this engine. Fortunately for TMAXX owners, the market offers many different T-Maxx (both 1st & 2nd generation) upgrade parts to choose from.

OTHER RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS FOR THIS ENGINE (see bottom of page for the following recommended products & others):

1) Ofna Micro Infrared Temp Gauge OFN10155. We strongly recommend that this engine be tuned along with a temperature gauge to ensure maximum performance and long engine life. An overheated engine can be damaged within minutes!
2) Ofna Picco Medium Temperature Glow Plug OFN51007. This Picco glow plug is one that is recommended for this Picco engine.
3) Ofna Micro Fail Safe OFN91002. This fail safe is cheap insurance and a very good investment to protect a Picco powered land missile!

TECH NOTE: The Ofna Picco Max21 with Pull Start OFN51221 is the same engine as the Non-Pull Start/EZ-Start version OFN51220, except the OFN51221 version has a pull start conversion kit included. So, the OFN51221 Picco MAX21 Pull start version offers greater versatility with the ability to bolt on the T-Maxx 2.5 EZ-Start OR rid the weight of the EZ-Start system and run with the pull start. Either way... the choice is yours.
