The Ofna Force 26 replaces the Force 25 engine in the Force family of engines. The new Force 26 has more engine displacement which gives it a little more power than the original Force 25. In addition, the Force 26 comes with a new pull start handle that is more ergonomic and a little easier to pull than the Force 25 handle.

The Ofna Force 26 is truly a BIG block nitro engine. The Force 26 big block nitro engine is bored out to .26 cu. in. (4.25 cc) displacement, and this powerful big displacement nitro engine is a great upgrade for BIG trucks like the HPI SAVAGE, T-MAXX big block .21 conversions, and other RC cars and trucks originally equipped with smaller .21 size nitro engines.

The big displacement and BIG POWER and TORQUE of the OFNA FORCE 26 NITRO ENGINE makes it a great nitro engine upgrade for off-road applications where lots of TORQUE and POWER are needed to move big off-road rc cars and trucks over rough terrain and obstacles.

Ofna claims around 2.41HP with revs up to 38,000RPM from the Force 26! Peak power is not the whole story. More important than just peak HP is the power and TORQUE delivery. The Force 26 puts out low end grunt torque that is ideal for big, heavy trucks like the Savage.

PLEASE NOTE: The Force 26 engine has a slightly different hole pattern than some other big block engines. The rear 2 engine mounting holes are spaced a little different. For the Savage truck, we recommend the HPI Billet Aluminum Engine Mount HPI86140 which we try to stock. It has a set of mounting holes specifically designed to match the older Force 25 (discontinued) and the newer Force 26 engine mount hole pattern. Other adjustable Savage engine mounts like the Hot Bodies 61158 Engine Mount will NOT work with the Force 26. It is possible to try and drill and tap the stock Savage engine mount (we have tested this idea before), but it is MUCH easier and safer to use the superior HPI Billet Engine Mount.

The Force 26 features high quality ABC engine construction, a 2 needle slide carburetor, SG crank, big 11 fin cooling head, rear exhaust port, and a convenient pull start. As is typical with new nitro engines, the Force 26 does not come with a glow plug. Ofna recommends a long glow plug without idle bar like the Ofna/Picco #51007. We would NOT recommend a HOT plug on this engine unless you are a nitro engine tuning expert and know what you are doing. We would recommend trying a MEDIUM temp plug. We try to keep the recommended Ofna/Picco 51007 glow plug in stock.

TIP: Be sure to transfer over the purple Savage exhaust gasket to the Force 26. The Savage header will not seal right unless you use the purple Savage gasket.

TIP: The Force 26 will work with the HPI Roto Start (HPI87110) electric engine starting system! Just remove the pull start assembly and bolt on the Roto Start backplate and you are ready to rip!

The Force 26 is an ecomonical alternative to the hard to get Picco 26 Outlaw engine which is in very short supply.

RECOMMENDATION: We strongly recommend that this engine be tuned along with a temperature gauge to ensure maximum performance and long engine life. In the past, these temperature gauges were expensive and most people did not want to spend that much money.
