This is the HPI Savage SS Monster Truck Kit. This is the Savage kit that many people have been waiting for! The SS comes with the powerful new Nitro Star S-25 nitro engine. The .25 engine gives the Savage the extra power that it needs. HPI nows says that the SS is capable of speeds of 40+MPH!

The Savage SS not only comes with the more powerful S-25 engine, but it also comes with many other upgrades as well. The SS comes with a ringed aluminum tuned pipe, adjustable upper suspension arms, stiffer purple shock springs, chromed heavy duty dog bones to transmit the extra power, and it comes with 2 different clutch bells (15T & 18T), along with a new 49T spur gear for increased gearing options.

REMEMBER: The Savage SS comes as a kit. It requires COMPLETE ASSEMBLY by the purchaser. This is NOT a Ready To Run (RTR) monster truck. The SS kit does NOT come with a radio system. You will need to supply and install your own radio system. HPI intends this kit for those people that are more experienced in RC nitro and are able to build their own. You will need to do things like paint the clear body and assemble this truck from the ground up. Many people enjoy building their models as much as they do running them, so a kit can be a fun and rewarding experience.

SAVE TIME! Now is the time to buy any other upgrades that you want for your Savage SS. While you are building your SS kit will probably be the easiest time ever to add other upgrades. Install the upgrades while you are assembling your SS kit - rather than having to tear it apart later to add the upgrades. Keep this in mind when buying an SS kit.
